Events of the Karnataka State chapter

CMCJ Karnataka State chapter is covered 6 villages in Koppal District. Promoting CMCJ concepts among the children in rural areas. CMCJ Members have done various activities and awareness Program on Climate change, Global Warming, demerits of using the plastics etc., CMCJ is working for the protection of the environmental rights of the children. It is focusing the issues of climate change and violations of child rights. So, CMCJ members are taking initiatives to create awareness, to reduce the usage of the plastic, to promote the CMCJ movement in various levels.


Awareness on Climate and Global Warming

CMCJ State Coordinator Ms.Padma gave an awareness about the Climate Change and Global Warming to the school students in different places of the Koppal District. She explained about how the climate is changing every year due to the global warming and other problems. And also she gave an awareness to the students about the planting trees, kitchen garden, green village and plastic free village. This awareness created among more than 200 children in two days of 11&12.02.2022. It was very useful to the students to plant trees in their school premises and creating the green environment around them.


Networking with Mainstream organizations

CMCJ Karnataka state chapter is taking steps to establish CMCJ by networking with schools among the members of NSS, green corps, scout etc., It is helping to children to learn about the climate change concept, the effects of global warming and finding the solutions for the issues of the climate change. CMCJ is giving lessons to the students to plant trees, avoid the usage of the plastics in their day to day life. Slowly, this initiative is taken by the CMCJ state chapter in schools. It is helping to strengthen CMCJ and increase the members.


Awareness on Covid-19 Precautions among the children

There was an unexpected thing happened in the worldwide, all the human beings suffered both physically and mentally. Covid-19 is a virus and it was spreading the diseases among the people in the year 2020. WHO alerted all the nations to follow the protocols to save the human life from the covid-19. The death rate was increasing day by day due to the spreading of the virus. The Indian government declared National Emergency and protocols followed to protect the people from the virus attack. Lockdown and travel restrictions were amended in all the places. It was continued one and half year. So many people died and affected by this virus. It affected the social, economy and political conditions of the society.

CMCJ Members were also affected both physically and mentally due to this covid-19 virus and its effects. Children were addicted by mobile phones, home sick and others. Child abuses and crimes increased against the children during that time. So, the CMCJ state chapters took responsibility to give counselling to the children, awareness about the abuses, violations and created awareness about Covid-19 for the school students.


CMCJ Orientation to the students and the National Coordinator visit

CMCJ National Coordinator Mr.Paul Thomas visited the katnataka state chapter on 21.07.2021. He had meeting with the state convener Mr.Nazer, Vishthar Organization. Mr.Nazer shared about the history of CMCJ in Karnataka state hpater. Then, Mr.Paul participated in the programs and the activities of the state chapters regularly. He attended the meetings and interactions with the CMCJ Members and the community during his visit time. The state coordinator Ms.Padma was organized an event in a school to give an orientation about CMCJ to the students. CMCJ members were also participated in the event. Mr.Paul gave an orientation about CMCJ and its importance to the children and the society. 50 students participated in the event.
