Tree Plantation

CMCJ Movement is functioning in 6 villages of the Koppal district in Karnataka state chapter. They observed the special day of World Environmental day on June-5,2022 by following the theme of Only One Earth. The state coordinator gave an awareness about the importance of celebrating the world environmental day by planting trees, creating awareness about the global warming. The CMCJ members observed this day like a festival of tree plantation. CMCJ members planted so many trees on this day in their neighbourhood and created awareness to people for reducing the usage of the plastics. Children were participated happily in the efforts of CMCJ and its steps to protect the environment.


District level Campaign on RTE & Child Marriages, Child Trafficking and Child Sexual Violence

A District level campaign was organized by the Core team of CMCJ AP on RTE & Child Marriages, Child Trafficking and Child Sexual violence. The 10 member team covered 8 Mandals in Visakhapatnam District, generating the awareness on child issues in collaboration with 4 NGOs and Educational Institutions and 2 Networks of RTE in Visakhapatnam and Visakha Forum for Child Rights, covered people 1800. The Children were capacitated; pamphlets and posters are distributed to educate children, youth and adults. The team covered the Colleges, schools and communities and Hostels. Also they lobby with local government in strengthening the Government Mechanisms in protection of children.


Awareness building on scaling up of CPP

The CMCJ AP organized an education Programme in all the Koyyuru Schools and Visakhapatnam Workshops on Child Protection Policy in Schools and  National policy on RTE. As the Policy is has been drafted in the Nation, The children contributed their suggestions and recommendations it was pressurized to the Government Authorities to include, prepare a policy and implement, The National draft policy is launched in India, the CMCJ children Participated in the draft policy meeting at Visakhapatnam and contributed. The children also demanded for to implement in all the Govt and private schools and colleges in the protection of children. The children also demanded in the schools to implement the child protection policy.


State level work shop on Inclusive Education to Mainstream Excluded Children

State level work shops on Inclusive Education to Mainstream Excluded Children was organized in collaboration with Right to Education forum, CMCJ ,Visakha forum for child rights and Dharani organizations on 4th June -2019 at CeFHA field office, Kotauratla . The two states of children of Andhrapradesh and Telangana participated and the State convener RTE of AP was chief guest. On this occasion  The State Coordinator Ms.Ananthalaxmi invited the guests and shared on the education system in Andhrapardesh and CACL  programmes. The Director, CeFHA shared on present issues and the  Govt should introduce on the alternative education system as there are many drop outs in the villages as well as introduce the Child protection policy in all the Govt and Private schools.State coordinator Mahitha organization Sri Gode Prasad shared on Changing education system  and, education for all by the government .Right to education state coordinator K.Ramanamurthy said  that the funds allocation for the education system is not upto the mark and it has to be increased keeping in view of the children education and promoting the children to the further  higher education. Sri Prasad Rao YCB organization Director   said that by improving minimum facilities in government schools more number of children will join in the government schools. Sri Harivenkat  secretary for visakha forum for RTE  presided over the meeting he said that  the student are facing lot of problems in schools , and school management committees must take responsibility in solving students as well as their parents problems.  CMCJ Children shared on the CPP and  the facilities for the girl children to be provided and the school is responsible and accountable for the Children Education.CMCJ state coordinator Ananthalaxmi, Anusha, Cefha director Dr.Sasiprabha and other participated in this meeting. Members from 7 Districts 2 states,70 children, Students and ,3 village elders,5 members from JLMM, Members from Banjara sevasamiti ,Telangana, RAYS from Gunturu,members from JSSS guntur participated.


Summer Camp for Children on Climate Crisis at Kotauratla

A two day child summer camp was organized at Kotauratla on generating awareness on child rights and Environment. There was a dialogue session on Climate change, the Environmentalist participated in the program. The children also exposed to the projected forest areas and had dialogue with the local elders on protection of the Medicinal plants and the Rivers in the area.38 Children attended the Camp and capacitated on Climate change impact on forests and Children.


Participation in German Parliamentarian Meeting and Exhibition

6 member team of CMCJ AP participated in the German Parliamentarian team and shared about their activities under CMCJ in each District. The children also exhibited various activities under CMCJ Andhra Pradesh and the Indigenous seeds and Natural Dyes as well as the Children issues through photos and Biodiversity.


CMCJ District level Capacity building work shop on Child Issues & Leadership Building

10 CMCJ Core team members participated in the workshop on  20.09.2019,Mr. Gode Prasad, AP coordinator Girls Advocacy program, MAHITA, Hyderabad and Dr.Sasiprabha,  National Convener participated as guest faculty and trained the  CMCJ AP core team members in view of  the proposed District wide campaign on stop  Child Sexual violence, Child Trafficking and Child Marriages. The following topics covered.

  1. Preparation of banner
  2. Educational material
  3. Documentation
  4. Filling of survey forms
  5. Planning of travel
  6. Usages of Electronic media and print media

CMCJ AP focused on the capacity building of the children at various levels like Panchayat, District and District  level committee members. The CMCJ AP organized the Capacity building trainings at different places.Totally 14 children are covered  8Mandals in the District .


Capacity building on Health Rights and Pad to Pad program to Adolescents

CMCJ Core Team members speak about uses of cloth/Washable Sanitary pads and also informed them the importance of balanced diet and cleaning of hands and usages of using cheppals while going to bath room and nutrition food values .We also imparted child abuses ,child rights, Child Health and Hygiene , Sanitation, child marriages and about good touch and bad touch. The children were asked to  use the cloth pads to protect the environment and distributed 180 kits to 180 children with the help of Ecofemme. 180 Children(in 6 Batches) Participated  in 6 Schools  of Kotauratla and KoyyuruMandals.


Koyyuru Seed Exhibition & Millet Campaign

The CMCJ AP core team organized a millet campaign at KoyyuruMandal , as the millets are disappearing in the area, The Tribals in the area also not cultivating the millets of all the verieties  except Ragi. Day by day the communities are depending upon the ration and utilising the rice. Hence the children started the educating the tribals  as it has more nutritious value and exhibited all the verieties of the millets. The Children also collected the local indigenous seeds in the area and exhibited in the Bangalore at Visthar  to understand the importance of the local seed protection and multiplication during the Visit of Parlimentarians..


World Environment day Campaign

CMCJ Member organized  a meeting  on Environment day on 5 th June at B.K Palli on environment day . 59 members participated  in this campaign and also exposed to CMCJ activities. The villagers are motivated to clean the premises regularly and planted saplings at village community and watering regularly. The villagers are also requested to stop using the plastic bags , which harm the environment and the land will be polluted. The team members shared on the effects of environment pollution like contaminated water , air pollution notice pollution effects the human health. 59 members of cmcj, Shg, women and Banjara sevasamithi, Guntur JSSS and other NGOs participated at B.K.Palli Village.

Campaign on CPP /OP3 and Climate change

District /State wide Campaign on Child rights/Health rights / Forest and Climate change:

1. Campaign on CPP in District Schools :

CMCJ AP members have undergone on various trainings on CPP and OP3 and capacitated on the various topics. Organized programmes in schools in Visakhapatnam district on Child protection policy implementation, Child rights and Ecological rights in schools.

2. Campaign on Health rights:

Adolescents health rights campaign and protection of Environment (Pad to Pad programme) in Koyyuru 6 schools covering children 180. CMCJ AP also distributed 180 kits to the Children in protection of Environment.

3. Green Schools Campaign

CMCJ AP core team campaigned in Schools of Kotauratla on Green schools and NO use of Plastics in the area and motivated children to take up plantation in the school and Community

4. Campaign on Stop Child marriages

The CMCJ AP members organized campaign on To stop Child Marriages in the Village Lingapuram also reported the child cases to the Local Govt and ICDS. The other campaign organized on Stop child marriages at Rajput village as there are number of child issues and dropout rate. The team educated the community, distributed the Pamphlets and informed to the elders of the villages and to the Pujari and local pastors about the Government rules and acts of child marriages and how it’s effecting to the children in the area. 62 members participated at village Rajupeta.

5. Campaign on Protection of Indigenous seeds

CMCJ AP campaigned on protection of Indigenous seeds and promotion of Millets in the area and generated awareness to the Farmer families in the communities Alumiyapalem and Anuku villages. Children also shared on the Eco farming methods and Eco garden. They stressed to use more on the Vermi compost and Green Manures. 8 Children along with farmers had a meeting in two villages.

6. National Anti Child Labor Day Campaign

CMCJ Core team members  and students participated in National Anti-Child Labour  Day organized at Kotauratla village. A Human chain formed on this occasion and students raised slogans on Child labour, child survival, Child protection ,Child participation ,child development, child abuse and child trafficking  to eradicate and strengthen Government Mechanisms in Child protection. 36 Children participated at Kotauratla.
