Children Cycle Yatra (Rally) On Bio-Diversity Conservation, Environmental Protection And Climate Change

Rapid environmental changes cause extinctions of many species, natural resources such as land, forest, water, environment becoming scarce day by day as people tend to harm it and creating scarce for the future generations. Forest is the major resource for the livelihood of rural populace and for the environment protection, due to poverty deforestation taking place at all levels as the communities utilizing the natural resources. who make half of the world’s population are vulnerable to anything at anything any anytime. Already children remain
as child laborers, thrown out of school, are trafficked, vulnerable to all infections and have become a section of society which is most vulnerable. In this context, environmental experts and social scientist have been warning us about global warming, Environment degradation and their dangers and the effects that they would cause in the future. If such predictions come true, those who would be most affected by the same world be the future generation that is the present children. Therefore, 15000 children hailing from 7 states of India have joined together and are functioning as a movement for Climate Justice

CMCJ National Consultation Meeting Report 2014

The National Consultation titled ‘Children’s Movement for Climate Justice (CMCJ) on Vision, Mission and Future Strategies’ was organized by KNH, IRDWSI and CMCJ in Semiliguda, Koraput on the 1st and 2nd of February 2012. Children from the CMCJ groups of 7 states like Tamilnadu, karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat and Maharastra participated in the consultation to drive their struggle for climate justice in a structured approach with an established vision and fixed plan of action. The consultation of the children was organized for the children nationwide and by the children.
